Ideal Castle Howard Bed & Breakfast accomodation

Hall Farm is a Georgian farmhouse, set in the Howardian Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with views over the Wolds and the Vale of York. It is mainly an arable farm now, but there are often sheep and lambs in spring in the field and very soon we will have some chickens to lay eggs for your breakfast.

With your host being a fully qualified, experienced chef you are always in for a culinary experience at Hall Farm. Whether it be the complimentary tea and freshly baked cake/biscuits on arrival, the scrumptious locally sourced breakfast that will set you up for the day, or an evening meal for a relaxing night in which can be catered for with prior booking.

The Howardian Hills covers 204 sq km (79 sq miles) of the North Yorkshire countryside, nestled between the North York Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Wolds and the Vale of York. It is a unique and captivating landscape with its well-wooded rolling countryside, patchwork of arable and pasture fields, scenic villages and historic country houses with classic parkland landscapes.

We are ideally located - 10 miles north of York, 3 miles from Castle Howard, 45 minutes drive from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and an hour's drive from the coast – Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, Robin Hood's Bay, Sand's End to name a few.

A perfect place to base yourself while visiting the lovely area North Yorkshire has to offer, or if you wanted to just go for a walk through the woods or relax in the beautiful garden – it's up to you! The Ebor Way & Centenary Way walks pass the house, so it is an ideal place to stop off, relax and break up your journey.

Just spent 4 weeks travelling around Europe and the UK. We were on the go every 2nd day and needed a relaxing break before we headed back to Australia...

Unfortunately we do not allow pets inside the main house. However we appreciate that it's a great place for dogs to enjoy, so if you would like to bring your dog then it is more than welcome to sleep in the porch/boot room free of charge.
